On Saturday 15 March from 10am to 2pm Chelwood Gate will be holding its first VILLAGE MARKET at the Village Hall and land adjacent to the church, Beaconsfield Road.

For some time a small committee has been exploring the possibilities of re-opening a village shop. This option may be some years away and in the meantime this market will showcase produce and services available within a 20 mile radius of Chelwood Gate.

There will be stalls offering a range of excellent local produce including  cakes, pies, meats, cheese, jams, bread, eggs, sausages, plants, jewellery, card etc.

The market, hopefully the first of several this year, will be opened by local MP, Mr Charles Hendry at 10am.
